12 Mar Girl Geek Dinner in Londen
Girl Geek Dinners have become a real phenomenon. Next Saturday they return to their roots with as shopping trip to London. Mobile Vikings is sponsoring their mobile internet.
Geek dinners are casual meetings of internet geeks. Over pizza, beer or other non-glamorous food they discuss technologie, the internet and living in the cloud. As a reaction to these male-dominated events, Clo Willaerts (alias bnox) organised the first Belgian Girl Geek Dinner.
At a later stage, men where allowed to the event too. But only in the role of "sacoche" of a female attendant. The events grew into a success, resulting in more then 150 attendants at the #BGGD11.
For the 12th edition of the event the Belgian girls are meeting up with their French and UK coutnerparts. They found Eurostar prepared to sponsor their trip. Since the central theme of their trip is "mobile-internet-enhanced-shopping" Mobile Vikings is glad to sponsor their mobile internet connection.
