31 Aug Meeting in Mechelen
The first Mobile Vikings meeting in Mechelen resulted in a bunch of ideas after a spontaneous twunch and a good glass of white wine. It was fun meeting you guys!
The location we chose was probably a bit too small, but we all had an interesting afternoon, sharing ideas, discussing future possibilities and just getting to know fellow Mobile Vikings. But obviously, we’d like to share what was said and done on this great day.

Together, we’ve come up with some propositions for the Mobile Vikings community and the community website we would like to launch soon: mobilefreedom.com, mobilefreedomfighters.com, mobileskraelings.com, askaviking.com, vikingwarriors.com and vikingtroops.com. If your creativity happens to burst out another great idea, feel free to share.
A name is of course just a start. We’ve also talked about what the communication action plan for the community should be and what the possibilities are for the site and the community itself. What can Vikings do, what do Vikings want to do? Make people aware of the many great mobile internet opportunities, help other Vikings out when having trouble with anything whatsoever etcetera.
Mobile Vikings, as a company, doesn’t intend to control or lead the Viking community. We only wish to guide and support, by any means possible. This includes the website, the logistics, the meeting locations...
As a next step, we will define a name for the community website, define its functionality and communicate an action plan.

Wed 02 Sep 2009 15:38An extended API so that we can top up on demand and/or automatically (depends on the user preference and the developer's implementation) would be nice too.
For the community: a service where users can share the location of shops with iPhones in stock would be nice :P
About the community name: I prefer askaviking.com and vikingwarriors.com above the other options.
