16 Mar Geeky girls became London chicks
Last Saturday the 40 girls from Brussels Girl Geek Dinner left the continent and conquered London. Not only did they have a great time, they also stayed in touch using mobile internet.
Early in the morning @jgeskens and @gvangool provided the girls in the Eurostar station with their Mobile Vikings sim cards. After some help with the configuration of the different smartphones, they all got online in Belgium.
After the train crossed the French border, the Twittering continued happily. And once the train left the chunnel in the United Kingdom, the messages started flowing again.

But the popularity of mobile internet also has it's toll. 3G networks in central London are all congested by iPhone users and service levels are no longer what they used to be. Nevertheless the ladies managed to get their pictures and location updates across using Mobile Vikings 3G, combined with free WiFi hotspots.
